Cutting a single layer off a roll can be done several ways. If you are cutting a 'tail' off the outside of a roll, the CB100 is the tool of choice to use. All you need to do is hook the end of the CB100 on the edge of the film or paper, and pull the safety knife across to the other edge. If the task at hand is to cut a sample on a wound roll, the SO400 is an excellent choice since it will easily cut just one layer deep at a time. Simply press the cutter on the surface of the roll and glide the cutter in any direction.
